The ion generator exclusively produces small ions and is set by default. The small ions in the exhaust air deposit odour particles and VOC-pollutions onto surfaces.
The ozone generator produces ozone, which oxidizes the deposited odour particles and VOC-pollutions sedimented on the surfaces.
The biological storage mass inside the bio-catalyst is composed of renewable resources and serves as surface material sedimenting odour-polluted particles. Due to the oxidization of the odour particles and the ozone, the bio storage mass has regenerative properties and therefore possesses a long lifetime.
